some tips for beginners and the game treasure hunt?

Hi all, first of all, I'm a beginning game player and am wanting to pass some time after work, so if any one can give me tips on what I should play to start learning let me know.

Secondly when i try to play the treasure hunt game from bpc programs games it says I can't play the game with out another version of dot net if any one can help me with this Id appreciate that.
